There is a very loud buzzing noise coming from my cpu fan. if i stop the fan from spinning for a second itll stop making the buzzing noise for about 30 seconds and then continue. Ive checked it pretty thoroughly to make sure no wires or anything were touching the fan. If you guys have any ideas how to fix this problem id greatly appreciate it. Thanks
Something may have gotten inside or near the motor (pretty sure its alao falled the "bearing") and is making that sound. If you can see the copper part of the motor, try blowing compressed air into it, let it dry, and see if it makes the sound still. I'm no expert on fans, but it seems like it would be that. Or the fan is hitting SOMETHING. Try doubledouble and triple checking to see if the fan is hitting anything. If this doesn't work, try posting in the cooling section. It will get more attention there, and better advice.
