Broadcasting build

I recently built this rig for the broadcasting company i work for.

Use case is a switcher/stream encoder for use with Livestream studio. Will be shipped a lot. I am really diggin the capture card, it has 8 biderectional sdi inputs/outputs so it is really flexible depending on setup. Will most likely be doing 2 more this month. Thoughts?

Specs:

Thoughts? It reminds me I still have some work to do with two pcs of mine and also makes me wish I had a new build to put together.

This is something I would like to learn more about as I want to start my own broadcast. Why did you choose the parts you did and what software will it be running?

We are moving away from tricaster systems to custom builds, and the company decided on Livestream Studio as the software, do to its robust switching/streaming features. The paid version allows up to 25 inputs and outputs, as well as multiple iso records. Parts were chosen based on the supported specs for Livestream.

Our current encoders are running 4770s, and they do ok, but moving up to the x99 platform with a 6core will give us more headroom for running several streams at once (different quality) and also capturing iso records from all sources at once, should we need to re-edit

Looks pretty good to me. I guess the 750ti can drive just enough monitors depending on your setup. If you have the time to come back to this I'd love to read an after action report on what you are doing and how it performs.

Interestingly my company are currently looking into a PC to capture multiple streams, so opposite end of what you are doing and a different set of problems!

Yeah we usually only use 2 monitors in production so should be good.

This Livestream Studio software can take rtmp sources as inputs, may work for you.

Ill let you know how it goes! The pc is out in california now on its first gig, but not as a switcher. Starting slow and encoding the program feed from our current tricaster 460.
