Bridge dat bitch!

OK, so I have two Linksys WRT1900AC v1 and OpenWRT is installed on both. One is already in use as an accesspoint hooked to my switch. I want the other one to act as a wireless bridge (correct me if I am wrong, network terminology is not really my thing).

Basically I want to have my NAS, Printer and maybe other stuff acting as if they were directly cabled to my switch while really being somewhere else. So far I just can’t get that to work. I think I will have to use relayd for that but I am also not sure about that.

Oh, and I am a filthy GUI pleb so … be gentle. :wink:

Can someone help or point me to a guide?

@DeusQain, are you still around?

Just set the second router up in Access Point mode; this will in turn forward the existing DHCP.

^every thing you need to know should be there.

Is it really that easy? Gonna try that.

No that's not how that works, that would be what you'd do if you wanted the second router to also act as an access point. Use the link thorium linked, that's what you actually need to do.
