IMHO yes. The absolute maximum for this CPU is Radeon HD 7850. Optimal may be HD 7770.

I run a B55 Quad Phenom II @ 4.2GHZ in my AMD rig, it bottlenecks a single GeForce GTX 480 by around 10fps in some games compared to the intel Platform in my Sandy rig.
This is 10fps on average and minimum.
A 7850 will be bottlenecked ever so slightly, but a 7870 is asking for what the 480 got, considering these are roughly the same performance.
