So I bought two Black 64gb One Plus Ones. Why?
Why not?
I had been looking for a new phone for some time now especially since my current phone the Droid Ultra by Motorola ,after they were bought by Google (Then sold quite shortly after... >.<), has been acting weird and Verizon holds onto updates and then releases them too late or too full of shit bloatware apps like Madden or other Football shit. I had seen were the one was being released and I had heard a bunch about them and I did want to just play with one but no one I knew or saw ever got one, let alone two. I searched ebay for days upon weeks trying to see if I could buy one but even the auctions that started at one cent always managed to jump to over $500 within the last hour or so. Then I tried to buy an invite, same thing basically, yes some were Buy It Now auctions/sales but if they weren't they too would climb in price by massive amounts, scary. I finally found one invite that didn't jump and I won the auction. I paid $20 for one invite and figured I was in the clear and just would buy the phone at full price. Well the code/invite I was given had expired one day sooner than the seller had thought, we were both clearly upset/mad but we stayed gentleman like and talked it out and he was ready to give me a refund and I'd just try again. Then the seller surprised me, he emailed me back and said if I waited 15 minutes he was sure he could find another invite, which I was willing to do. A half hour goes buy as I blankly stare at my email while drinking a Stone Brewery Stout (Yummy) and then appears a email, its the seller, my mouth dropped and I almost wasted a mouth full of beer when I read that he was giving me an OnePlus account with two invites for the Black 64gb One on it and that the second invite was on the house for the hassle and how much he appreciated the fact I was kind, willing to deal and gentleman like even though this phone is such a big deal.
After that he told me to change all the acct info to my info so he could never log in again and the Acct would be forever mine and to do what I will with the second invite just as long as I didn't let it expire. So here I am, $716 later with two One Plus Ones, I also bought a nice aluminum case and Gorilla like glass screen protector to make sure this massive expense says safe for a while. Now to test it and see if I'm keeping one and selling the other, giving one away just because or selling two, time will tell and until that time I will keep my Droid Ultra active and usable.
