Bluetooth Tethering tablet android 4.4

I need some help. I am trying to make it so I can share my Internet connection with my Asus Memopad ME176CX-A1 tablet. The problem I am having is when I am trying. To use pdanet, it refuses the Internet connection. It pairs with my Samsung Galaxy Centura. But I read in the description of pdanet tablet on the Google play store that there was a bug for Android 4.4.2. I don't know if there is any fix for that. My Asus tablet is rooted, and my phone isn't rooted. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you tried updating the device to 4.4.4?

If you have access to the built in Android tethering, you can allow bluetooth tethering on your phone, then on the tablet, click your phone's bluetooth properties, then 'Use this devices internet connection'. Unfortunately this won't work if you're not allowed to tether on your plan.
