ASRock x370 taichi
win 10
suddenly bluetooth just stopped working for some strange reason and I get a code 10. windows says it has found the driver but cannot install…
I have reset bios, I have downloaded driver from asrock and installed did reboot as well. Nothing seems to work. The wifi is working however.
Any Ideas?
Last time I had code 10 errors, it was because I was trying to use a chinese knock-off usb-serial port converter. I had to manually install an older driver to get it to work. it seems the manufacturer of the legit hardware locked out the chinese knock-offs at the driver level.
Not saying this is the case here, but a change in windows or the driver could cause this. Or failed hardware. I guess, see if you can get it running under linux? From a ubuntu live USB drive?
Try do a Windows system restore to a point when it worked?
If not, RMA the board?
well after a few tries of uninstalling drivers deleting them , updating windows and so on, I rolled back the driver and it worked…
Good to see the hardware isn’t totally dead. If it happens again though, it doesn’t bode well.
