Black lines across LG G2 screen after modem flash

In advance I apologize for any misspelled words as English is not my native language. I also apologize if I posted this in the wrong sub forum because I dont really know where to post this because it something that I did with my android phone but something is also wrong with my phone so its kinda in the middle.
Now onto my problem. I was using MIUI v5 for two days and i really wanted to go back to carbon because there were some Chinese words on my lockscreen that I really did not like. So I rebooted into phillz recovery and I formated my phone and I flashed the rom then my gapps and finally the modem image because for some strange reason when ever I dont flash my modem all of the sensors wont function properly and I did use the very same recovery/modem image multiple times but when I rebooted my phone it was stuck on the LG logo for longer than usual so I just left it sitting on my table for a while but then the screen grayed out and it rebooted (yes grayed out) and after it turned on there they were black lines running from the top to bottom on the right side of the screen. Now my question is how can I get my phone through warranty with out me having to sell my liver on the black market? I already put together a cover up story:

"My phone ran out of battery so I plugged in my wall charger and left it on my desk and when I woke up the next day the phone was scorching hot and turned off. When I turned it on the black lines were there"

Is the cover up story any good? What should I do?

Lines are now white not black...

Flash it back to stock and try warranty then. I assume other than the black lines it works fine.

You could also try others roms, what ever you flashed might not agree with your GPU or screen resolution.

The weird part is I used MIUIv5 before and carbon and it ran with no problems what so ever

Bad flash? Have you tried re doing it? Try eliminate the variables? Stock everything.

Im currently on stock but the lines can be seen in recovery and when its booting up.

Even in recovery? Sounds like a hardware issue then. If the flash caused it then it should only be when you are using that rom, but if it is every where including the recovery then it is more likely an issue with the screen or the hardware driving it.

Unlucky that it happened when you flashed, might be a coincidence, or it might have damaged it some how, like over clocked the GPU and it reacted bad.

Either way get it back to stock everything and try warranty return it.

turn everything back to stock , if it still keeps doing it it might have a hardware problem after it overheated

If it is still under warranty flash everything back to stock and then contact lg or your carrier's support and they should send you a replacement. I have had my GS4 replaced three times already for free.
