No we'd already applied it before plus she's getting a new cooler so we didn't feel the need. Thanks though! :)

i guess there will be some 8 pin extension cables on the market somewhere.
It's generally accepted that you should thoroughly clean and replace the TIM when you remove the CPU cooler. Might want to keep an eye on your temps until she gets that new cooler.
Usually do, I checked the temperatures and they stay around 42c in game so it's all good!

Cool colour options on that case. BitFenix always do cool colours, the case sort of looks like a H440 with that side window.
