Hi I'm wondering if this motherboard is a good choice for a budget build? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138372 I would like to be able to run an FX-6300 on it with no overclocking or anything special.
Thanks

NO, Biostar is not a company that anyone on the forum would recommend, they have a very poor reputation for making bad products and you should never buy a motherboard from them. The only manufactures I would recommend looking at are Asus, Asrock, and Gigabyte. Do not buy an AM3+ motherboard from MSI or Biostar
Biostar is cheap and stripped down to the very basic. I personally have had good luck with them. I dont like the new uefi version. The oldschool bios version is a much better mb. I build little cheaper than everyone else cause i realize not everyone is oc'ing that crap out of everything. There are better choices something like
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128651&cm_re=Gigabyte_GA-970A-UD3P-_-13-128-651-_-Product That cpu is meant for overclocking so get a board that supports it. If your not interested in oc'ing maybe get a stronger cpu at the start. 6350 or 8320 8350
Thanks. I think I will go with a Gigabyte instead
i´m currios about that Msi 970A Gaming motherboard.
Till now i did not seen it anywhere on store.
Ya mean gigabyte? I never noticed it before on newegg but i have been looking at 990fx boards for so long. It has posting back to last year. Spec wise looks okay except a weird to me audio chip.
No there's a new Msi gaming 970 board coming :/ Its really weird because it's not even 990fx
Oh, ya here it is. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130790&cm_re=msi_970-_-13-130-790-_-Product But does it suffer from the classic msi ills of the past? Who wants to be the quinine pig? It's a good looking board if anything.http://www.msi.com/product/mb/970_GAMING.html#hero-specification Still cant find anything stating what the power phases are.
