Bioshock infinite crashing

I just built my new gaming pc.

MSI r9 270, fx 8320, 8gb ram.

I also just bought Bioshock infinite because it is a fantastic game. The problem I am having is the game keeps crashing. Everytime I get in the elevator at Fink industries the game crashes to desktop. "Bioshock infinite has stopped working." I have tried everything. I turned the graphics all the way down to low. No dice. I updated to the latest amd graphics drivers. Nothing. This is ridiculous. I just want to play my damn game.

What OS are you running, and are you running the game as administrator?

I am running Windows 8.1 and yes, I am running the game as administrator.

i had a similar problem at the very beginning of the game, only thing that worked was a full reinstall

Yeah, +1 to overlordnick. Run steam as an Admin, uninstall the game, reinstall the game. Try it then.
