Bios update issues

I have an Asus G50VT from 2009 and it's a great laptop. I haven't had a problem yet.

Out of a curious experiment I have found that OSX can be installed on it and can run rather well. Though, for this experiment to work I have to update the bios.

I understand that I can put the bios file that I download from the site onto a USB and do the whole process from there, but when I try to do that I can't find the file on the USB, despite it being there. Is there a certain process I should do? Has anyone here done differently? Help is gratefully appreciated!

PS: why do I want to do this? I'm dumb and I like experiments, that's why.

Just go to the support page:
http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=g50vt&p=&os=30
Download the manual, for the laptop not express gate or whatever, @ the bottom. Page A-13 has instructions on how to update it. Might have to be careful about the WINFLASH version you download and use. Might be fine to use the newest one, but check to see if that's ok.
