Dose anyone out there have a “how to set up an Ausus bios” for it to work in Linux, after having had win 11 installed?
No change in BIOS required.
You may need to change boot order so you can install a new OS from your USB drive. Make sure the installation medium is listed in the boot order.
But that’s not Linux-specific as you have to do the same for a Windows install from USB.
what about the windows securety thing , and the support for VMs?
So if I go in and set to default, good to go?
Most Distros don’t support Secure Boot which is often a default. Default would be fine if you’re using Ubuntu or Fedora because those support it, from what I know.
Virtualization is not - strictly - necessary, unless you’re trying to actually do virtualized Windows apps, Bottles etc. These days, that should be on by default in most cases anyway, older boards might require you to opt in.
If you’re just using Linux as a normal OS, you really don’t need to mess around with settings, if that’s the bigger question here.
The relevant BIOS options are Intel VT-x and Intel VT-d. They should be on by default (didn’t had my hands on any PC in the last 10 years where this wasn’t the default)

cool thanks, thinking that is what I messed with that crashed me.
I was using a Virt. windows to run my Peacock + on, because it hates Linux.
