BF4 Hacking

Hey guys I didn't want to sound like I am complaining but when I got into PC gaming during spring, I got BF4. I started off bad because I was getting used to the keyboard and mouse until I started getting 30-10 kd. Then a couple of days ago I just started getting bad scores again. I got shot from across the game map through a hill by an AK.

I am wondering if I am just losing the touch and just need to try harder, or if there is hacking in the game.

Battlefield 4 (all though i wish it wasn't) is one of the biggest piece of shit modern shooters available, that's the reason, hackers, slack developers, glitchy pc compatibility. It most likely isn't you, it's the same with bf3.

there's h@x0rs in all games, in a game like bf4 you just have to find servers with active admins, the guy walking around and headshots everyone on the server (at once) should be banned within a few minutes

What would be a good replacement for bf4.

ARMA

There's all manner of problems and bugs with BF4. Truthfully, you were probably not killed by the man behind the hill. The kill camera is known to be buggy.

Depends what kind of FPS game you want. Simulation, squad play, tactical, realistic, arcade, arena.

the ak  platform is 7.62 and is effective up to 500 meter after that it drops off but can still kill with another 4 shots followed up.

Hacking probably.

I play Battlefield 4 a LOT and I can confidently say that the issue isn't hackers.  From what I've seen, there are very few hackers in Battlefield 4 and I usually play a match or two everyday.

Really the issue might just be that you're facing better players.

As for the AK kill, someone probably just got extremely lucky.  I know that I've gotten plenty of kills that were pure luck.

EDIT:   I know that many people will blame the netcode and bugs, but most of that has been patched over time.  If you stopped playing because of these issues, maybe you should give it another try.  I did and I've been hooked ever since :)

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (BFBC2).

The maps may on occasion be smaller, but are overall not far smaller than BF4 64-player CQ Large maps, leading to less close quarters combat and more of what passes for midrange combat in the BF series. The overall design of the maps has had some thought put into it gameplay wise (as opposed to BF4 where I could simply not discern this being the case). Weapons simply sound better (make sure to go to the options menu and put "sound system" on "war tapes" for it to really come through) and have more kick to them, which makes them feel more effective. There is less bullshit unlocking than in BF4 and less useless weaponry than in BF4. There is also no bullshit like DLC every couple of months (in fact, there is only one DLC pack and most people don't have it as far as I can tell). Good thing is, most hackers have moved on and you mostly don't get hackers on most servers (of course, some are still around, but those are easy to pick out because of just how little skill they really have).

Also, it's 10 bucks and runs on any more or less modern PC, so there are a veritable number of people still playing.

As for ArmA: you may find it too complicated to have fun with it, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're coming from a BF angle. For epic battles on a grand scale with lots of players, you could try Planetside 2, though  (with up to 2000 players per continent and about 6000 per server, there can be some epic fights around focal points such as The Crown on the Indar continent)

You could, alternatively, try playing some of the more "classic" shooters in the veins of the Quake series or DOOM series, such as Xonotic, Tribes, Rise of the Triad, et cetera, but be aware that they don't have as many players (especially Xonotic, which is pretty sad considering that Xonotic is free).

Putting a shot through your head through a hill sounds improbable, but lag can add up in weird ways in BF4. The thing is, and I myself have done it multiple time in both BF4 and BFBC2, that the BF series de facto lets you use assault rifles as marksman weaponry. It's all in using burst fire correctly (not the "burst fire" setting, but actually letting go of the trigger every few seconds) to keep your accuracy up and your bullets on target. Especially with just how decent damage ARs do in BF4, and being able to make immediate follow-up shots without having to worry about a small magazine or having to load a bullet in the chamber again, it is often possible to get better results than with the actual sniper rifles in those games.

+1

I have not played bf4 since launch , and it's still shit.

But the CTE is amazing , getting rid of gui clutter and fixing netcode . I have about 120 hours logged , brobably ~40 after launch , 20 at random times and the last 60 since CTE.
