Bethesda E3 Announcement Rumors

Sauce

A PlayStation 4 and Xbox One remaster of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is rumoured to be announced at Bethesda's E3 conference this Sunday, 12th June.

Eurogamer understands this rumour to be true, and we've also heard Bethesda will announce The Evil Within 2, Wolfenstein 2 and re-announce Prey 2 during the conference.

The Skyrim remaster rumours originate from reputable industry insider Shinobi602, as well as another apparent insider posting on NeoGAF as Enter the Dragon Punch.

Bethesda will also reveal Dishonored 2 gameplay for the first time during the E3 press conference. The game will be released this year on 11th November.

What do you guys think about this?

I think I might finally get around to playing Wolfenstein. I'm also excited about Dishonored. On the other hand I'm super fucking pissed about the Skyrim Remaster. Bethesda needs to get off their lazy ass and make an actual fucking Elder Scrolls game; since Skyrim, they released an MMO that they called an Elder Scrolls game, a fucking ES card game, and now they're remastering Skyrim?!? Fucking really?!?

Bethesda would have to put out something really substantial, for PC gamers anyway, to justify $60 over Skyrim with mods.

The only thing that would make me get it is a new engine that still supports mods just as well.

Even then it would still get old quick for me. They'd need new voice acting or something.

But, knowing Bethesda they will probably only add an HD texture pack and call it a new game.

Prey 2 better be as good as Prey. But I doubt the game play will move as fast, and be as in depth as the original. Out of the games "Leaked" or "Rumored" Prey 2 is what I will be keeping my eyes and ears on.

they are going to announce that they are finally closing.

Reality? Maybe they'll show some ES World combined game ... they were experimenting with it in skyrim - as you could spot the citadel tower. (unmapped but still was there)

Bethesda is just money whoring the consoles. "Ooh look you can mod skyrim on consoles now for only $60."

VO be damn, they need better CPU multithreading utilization in their new engine. The game was heavily under optimized for PC, it was the mods that really made an effort to optimize it and even fix the bugs. That's what they need, none of that fluffy shit that modding community could give already.

PS4 and XBOX1 only... We already have the remaster on the PC...

I think they are going to finally release their card game. It seems to be interesting, and i would rather play that than Heartslime...

We need stand alone Gwent

Well, I'm not surprise they're treating console like royal.

Why wouldn't they? Add some high res textures, add some volumetric lighting, etc, and there you have Skyrim Remastered... No work what so ever, 5 million copies sold day 1...

No we don't...

if Bethesta was smart they'd make game expansions that add new areas.
they have all this to work with after all.

we have mods for morrowind and cyrodill but obviously they won't work on consoles.

Elder Scrolls Online was fucking retarded. You had to have a max level character on each of the 3 factions to be able to say you explored all the areas.

I had a max level High elf so the only areas I got to play were the Isles, a tiny piece of Elsweyr, and all of Valenwood.

When you start the game you only get the starting area. It's linear as all fuck.

Did I mention you get ONE of the summerset isles...
You get that tiny sliver on the right. You don't even get the big one.

Don't even get me started on Elsweyr...

You see that tiny island off the coast of pellitine? That's the most kahjit culture you get. Except for a half forest half safari area at the end of the Aldmeri Dominion storyline.

Anyway

All of this and they decided to remaster Skyrim...

Prey 2 rumors always come up every time e3 approaches. As for the Skyrim Re-release...I honestly can see Bethesda doing that with how the game industry is today. Bethesda might even correct a few of the issues with their broken game engine so it works on the different CPU architecture that is the newer game consoles (x86 vice PowerPC like last gen). What they will not do is get those fixes over to PC users...I miss when companies like VALVe would push engine optimizations from the console ports of their games back to the PC (Anyone remember the half-life 2 optimization patches that came out with the original Xbox port?)

As for Skyrim mods...Bethesda takes for granted their modding community and I can easily see Bethesda trying to be sneaky and snag a texture mod or two and push them into this Skyrim re-release and claim it was their content (or just not say anything and hope it passes over).
