have been looking for a better wireless router to replace my current one. all my network stuff is all in the basement and i have a three floor house. i currently have some D-link router saying that it is capable of finding these wireless devices and using more frequency to get more internet speed to them. currently i have a young sister who continues to try to stream vfideos from online to her ipod touch. i also have to computers as well as and ipad an android phone as well as a wii not sure if my sister hooks up her blackberry but in the mac adress system it does have a blackberry. i have no way of moving my router upstairs or anything very costly but i do have a wireless card on my desktop on the second floor that could possibly extend the range ??? it came with my maximus v forula board and is an asus havent hooked it up considering i have no use for it at the moment anyways what ever will work but i am not sure what i should do atm

Anyway, what sort of router do you require? G,N,AC?
Also are you using a seperate modem/router setup or a modem/router combo?
sorry i am visually impaired and using a keyboard at work and i think n would be the most considering all my devices are a on a 2.4ghz system. I am using just a plain modem from my main ISP which is shaw I hate them so much
Okay then, I personally like the Linksys products. Such as the E2500, though if you need Gigabit LAN ports, you may wish to look at the EA2700. I have setup the EA2700 at my parents and has been nothing but awesome.
If you are worried about the range, or if the range isn't large enough. You could use an Wireless range extender. As the issue with doing it through a computer, is that if it is off, it isn't repeating the signal.

i have used linksys before wasnt that great then again i didnt spend to much money on it but it seems like its performing well and yes a range extender does seem neccesary right now
