I'm looking for a nice wireless gaming headset that won't break the bank. Let's say a price point from anywhere to 50-100dollars USD. Here are some characteristics that have to be with it.
Has to have
-Wireless capability(obviously)
-internal rechargeable battery with good life, 10hours seems a good range
-Decent built in microphone
-sturdy construction
-adjustable for all size heads
-good wireless range 100ft
-decently long waranty
optional
-bluetooth
-a cable so if the battery dies on you, you can still play
-surround sound
-buttons to control settings on the headphone (volume, bass, treble, ect)
I dont recommend the G930. I've bought the 930 after enjoying the G330. I also know a few other guys I game with who have owned a pair and we've all had the same issue.
Randomly the headset goes batshit crazy and starts to reverberate louder and louder until you unplug them. its not offen maybe a few times a month. The only fix is to turn them off, unplug the usb and wait a few minutes. Mine didn't start doing this until about 6 months of ownership. I believe a cell phone would set them off, but was never able to replicate it.
With the new headset my friends reported that I sounded more clear over mumble. The cord is really long on the Tiamat which is nice since i wanted to keep the cords from dangling over the back of my desk.
I also just ordered the G930! cant wait, was looking around for days. (for what you get at the price) not really a fan of wireless headsets you can get much better quality corded at a much lower price point. I would recommend the Corsair v2100, i would have got one, but it seams Corsair doesn't get along with Australia
Never have I experienced this this problem with the G930, I've owned 2 so far. What I do is buy it at best buy and get the 3 year warranty. Then I replace it every year and renew the warranty. This is because I use it every day and you can wear out the ear pads in the course of a year if you use them like I use mine. I highly recommend the G930. I know 3 others who all own them and have never experienced this re-verb issue you have had. What I can say is that the G930 software is trash, I would completely recommend not using it for any reason ever. But the sound quality is really good and it fits really nice, I must add I have a big head, and some Dumbo (Disney character, wiki it) ears. Out of all the Razer headsets I've tested this one fits the nicest. And as far as headsets are concerned for gamers, ALWAYS purchase a warranty with your headset. It is the thing we will always break first from use.
You should get an extended warranty for them so you can replace them every year until you purchase another pair. This way every year you get a new pair, this will save you from having to find a replacement battery, and ear cuffs every year.
I've had the G930 for a year now and could not be happier. Never wanted to wireless headsets but once u have it is seems like the greatest thing since putting AC into cars. They sound great, fairly durable, and the mics decent. Only problem I had with them was some interference from my wireless router but once I changed the 2.4 GHz to channel 2 things are perfect. Plus they are only $90.00
