I'm a graduate student at Stony Brook U and wanted to know about the best VPN services available in my area. I'll be using the university's network to get on the internet. I want complete anonymity and privacy. I've heard Private Internet Access is a good VPN. I'm new to setting up VPNs and have heard there is considerable bandwidth overhead leading to slower speeds. I don't mind this as long as it is within tolerable levels. The university has two networks, one for low latency gaming and the other for general use. I'll be switching between the two often. I assume I don't have to configure my VPN settings much when doing so? Any help would be appreciated.
Im a big fan of BOXPN its cheep ( 2.99 a month at the moment) and works well and i get decent speeds and they have lots of endpoints in lots of countries, and several in USA including NY you can use
OpenVPN <- prob you want to use this one read the instructions on the site for setup

and you can use it on your phone
