Best psu for home nas

Anyone have any go to psu options for their home nas setups? Preferably atx form factor. Thanks!

For home PSU where uptime is not crucial, I would suggest first to fill up your gadgets in a PSU calculator such as:

Then pick from the famous PSU tier list:

Whats important is to give leeway/allowance. How much allowance is up to you. 25-50% of the prescribed PSU from the calculator IIRC is the usual recommendation. You can adjust accordingly depending on the budget.

For the PSU Tier List that is an old revision here is the current one.

Hang on, I thought the PSU tier list originated from the LTT forums?

It did, back in like 2021 it spun off to be it’s own seperate website.

Did the original authors/contributors of the post spun off its new site?

Yep, Luke Savenije is the editor in chief of Cultist Network and the LTT tier list is licensed by Luke Savenije et al under creative commons.

What about MeanWell?
For PSU (for my minimalistic fanless pc/server) I plan to use MeanWell LSP-160-12 https://www.tme.eu/en/details/lsp-160-12t/built-in-power-supplies/mean-well/ I found this one as most efficient (92.5%) but I know it depends on the load… (so it may not be as efficient in small loads <10% of PSU load capacity)

//update:

or MeanWell UHP-200-12 seems promising too, it has efficiency 93% https://www.tme.eu/en/details/uhp-200-12/built-in-power-supplies/mean-well/

lol, its been a thing for decades and has just moved from tech forums to tech forums. We used to maintain one back at Overclockers.com 15 years ago too.

This list started in 08 but there were older ones.
