I have been through 4 headset headphones that lasted less than 3 months. I am getting pretty tired of these hyped headphones being let downs. I also want the them to pick up some bass pretty well but it dosen't have to be god like. Also I don't like beats (just because I think they are are over priced bullcrap, just my preference).
Audio-Technica ATH-M40x for decent bass. If you go with open cans you wont get as good of bass.
If you want neutrality, this is the best you can get under $100
Never used these, but if I could, I would. Well, on of them, good reviews.
