Best option for 4dimm DDR5 with Zen5

I’m upgrading my current desktop to Zen5 and thinking about which RAM I should buy. I’m aware that running 4dimms DDR5 on AM5 will cause instability with OC and 3600mt/s is the maximum stable point. However, I do need at least 128 GB for my multiple VMs (including gaming, while I only play at 4K60fps).

Now the questions are: if I do want to run 4dimms, should I still go for kit of 4, or go for 2 separate kits of 2 with the same SKU? Should I go for modules with lower CAS latencies (like 30 to 32) to remedy the performance loss? Can I run the minimum CAS latencies supported by RAMs under 3600 mt/s 4dimms?

Thanks for suggestions in advance.

I have read the entire post, and that’s why I don’t want to risk OCing over 3600mt/s. I just want to know what’s the best option under 3600mt/s.

At 3600 probably anything works. But if you want stability get the ECC UDIMMs. Kingston or another model with Hynix ICs should be best.

Thanks. ECC is actually a good idea when the speed is limited to 3600mt/s
