Best open back headphones

Hi, im new to audio and want to get a pair of open back headphones for around £150 i dont have a amp/DAC thing ill be plugging them into my phone and my PC whats the best option for me?

I just recieved my Superlux HD668B headphones a couple of days ago. I bought them after watching a few of the audio videos on the TS channel.
All I have used them with so far is my phone and I really like them. They aren't 'fully open' but they are open enough to not feel completely cut off from everything around you whilst listening at a fairly high volume.

I recommend them, especially at the price.

There is also the ATH-AD900x. You can have it with pretty good prices. I think there is one at head-fi at 120$US currently or at 127 pounds on amazon.

I like my hd598s

if you don't plan on getting a good dac & amp, there's no point in spending more than $100 on headphones.... The signal chain is only as strong as it's weakest link. You really won't notice any difference in headphone quality until you have a good way to drive them.

whats a good dac thats not over priced

This will complement a good set of headphones all the way up into the $300 headphone range.

None of us can tell you what the perfect headphones are going to be for you. That is only for your ears and brain to decide.

Open headphones are fine as long as you aren't in the same ROOM as other people. If I'm using my headphones in a quiet library, closed are best. But if I'm using them by myself in my office (and just don't want to wake the neighbors with my music), open headphones would be great. Does that make sense?

Hard to pick up on a specific discussion one year later. As there is no ongoing discussion here, I'm going to close the thread. Sorry.
