I'm looking to buy a new laptop in the next couple of days but the laptop i want has a 750m will that handle games on med to high if not what GPU should i look for ?(1000) $ bufget but also want it to be slim ;)
what games will you be playing?
then we know what will work best
The 750m performs most games petty good. I just cant max the game at 720p 60fps on goat simulator but that the only game I play on that laptop lol.
Ill be playing Day z , metro last light ,BF4 , and any cheap games i find :)
I have a laptop with an i7 4702MQ (4 cores w/ HT @ 2.2 -3.2 Ghz) and a GTX 760m and at 1080p it struggles to pull 30 fps on battlefield 4 on lowest settings. So I'd expect a 750m to be really awful for bf4.
I would suggest a GTX 860M. You aren't going to get a laptop with an 860M for $1000. Unless you buy barebones, salvage hardware (ram/hard drive/wifi) and get a free operating system (microsoft dreamspark):

If you're a student, you can get Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro for free. It works just like normal windows 8.1, but has some extra features, and lacks some microsoft bloatware.
Otherwise I think you will either have to settle with a 750m or 840m and play on sub par settings, or increase your budget and save. Simply put, you aren't going to get a desktop replacement laptop for $1000.
