Right so i'm going over to Canada for a few weeks do see family, (from the UK) and i've been looking for a good set of headphones for music (Rock, Punk Rock and Acoustic mainly). I've got around $220 to spend but can go up if there is a big difference in quality. If anyone has any ideas please share:D
Damn, headphones are expensive up there. I recommend both of these, they have very different sound signatures so I recommend you do some research on your own to determine which will work best for you.

You don't really need an amp for either of these to reach decent volumes, but you may get a slightly better experience if you use one, especially with the HD 598, any of Fiio's lower end products such as the E6 or E10 will work well.
