Best Cards for $275

I have these two cards in Crossfire X, and wow this is actually amazing. It blew my GTX 580 away!

First...

ASUS AMD Radeon 7770 GHz Edition 2GB

XFX Radeon r7770 Black Edition 1GB

Here are some benchmarks...

Specs- i5 2500k @ 4.1 GHz

BF3 - Ultra 1080p : 61.3 FPS

BF3 - Auto 1080p - 113.4 FPS

For gaming these cards destroy I would highly recommend these cards to anyone who is interested in upgrading any time soon!

All and well sir, but a single 6870 would cause less headache with the whole crossfire thing and cost alot less (this is what i have).

The sweet spot for price for preformance as Logan has suggested is the 7870's.

yea my His iceq 7870 single is doing me just fine

Nice work mate, I think Crossfire and SLI in the low end market is a great way for budget gamers to get good performance over time. Start with one budget card and then buy another when you can.

However when approaching a fresh build or upgrade I'd always suggest getting one strong card with good overclocking potential as the better option even if the SLI or Crossfire benchmarks are slightly higher using 2 budget cards combined.

At least you know you'll always get good performance. Because you always run the risk of running a game not optimised for scaling and you end up running the game off 1 poor GPU.

Have you tried overclocking your CF 7770 config?

I don't know why the ASUS Radeon 5970 is always over looked. That card smokes the rest of the Radeon's in my humble opinion.

Because it's 2 generations old and uses more power?
