What's the best bang for your buck 2x4gb RAM kit you can buy?
I'm just looking for quality. It doesn't need a heat spreader.
RAM is pretty much RAM.
This is currently on sale and quite good.
Whatever has a cas of 9 or lower and is the cheapest.
Whatever is on sale.
But if you aren't planning to use integrated graphics you should get a single stick of 8gb RAM.
GSkill usually has Ram cheap and also Team should be cheap. Yes there is a Ram company called Team
just search 4x2 ram on amazon or your perferred shopping site. Then click the sort by button and then sort by lowest to highest price.
all ram is good ram now a days.
Even 15 dollar ECC RAM that ships from china? I can't find them on newegg anymore actually.
I use Kingston HyperX Fury 1866Mhz. It's solid, cheap, fast enough for my needs and it looks cool. If your chipset can support higher speeds, you can overclock it quite easily to 2200Mhz.
That's a great price. Get that.
G.Skill is pretty good stuff for the money, as far as strict budget shopping goes. Newegg sometimes sell it insanely cheap. Personally I usually get the RAM that the motherboard manufacturer recommends, with the best timings and speed. If there's an option, I usually choose Crucial, but some people swear by Corsair, Mushkin, Kingston, etc.
I use Crucial Ballistix DDR4 (never said what type) and they over clock just as well as the brands that cost $20 more.
Here is my oc:
2666
12-13-13-30-1
1.35v
Tested for two hours in Aida64 and everything was stable. I had to RMA my board recently so I can achieve that on my new one.
