Best budget coffee?

I am looking for a good coffee brand that tastes about the same or better than folgers. It doesn't matter if it has to be delivered to my house. I would actually prefer having it delivered because sometimes you get a bulk discount. I would like it to be cheaper than store bought coffee. I'm sure there is something out there that meets my needs.

I don't know how cheap you're looking for but Ruta Maya is really good for the money. It comes in 5lbs bags for about 40 bucks but you're going to have to grind it.

Hmm...that sounds awesome. How long does one 5 pound bag normally last?

I know you're looking for a budget coffee, but I strongly recommend that you get Gevalia. It's a Swedish brand, and I've never worried about it being overly bitter in my french press. It's $6.99 per 1/2 lb, so it is a bit more expensive, but that extra money is going directly to flavor town. Besides, a 1/2 pound lasts me a good few weeks.

One pound of coffee usually lasts my wife and I nearly two months. 5 lbs would probably be overkill unless you drink more than a couple of pots a day or have other coffee drinkers that live with you.

Pro-tip: split bulk coffee up in half-pound lots, vacuum pack them, and store them in a cool, dark place. It'll preserve the flavor for much longer.

free bags of star smucks. My gf sister get a pound free a month.

I'm drinking Nabob Midnight Eclipse ATM. It's a well flavored blend, and not too acidic. I was drinking the Breakfast Blend at first, bit I found the M.E. to have more kick. I am not sure if Nabob is available where you are, but it's the best store-bought coffee I have found to date.

Some good suggestions here! I'll have to take a look at these!

What's cheaper than Folgers? Get a ton at costco!

My neighbors coffee    : )

I'm a big fan of Kicking Horse, Can be found for 10CAD per pound. Its free trade, organic and roasted in BC, Canada so its cheap for that market segment.

Moconna

I don't know where you live because my answer will obviously depend on that. The ALDI version of Nescafe Gold is suspiciously similar to the real brand. If you're looking to have a good cup of instant coffee, buy this.

Get a subscription to Sam's Club or Costco or some other bulk store, then buy it there.  The brands of coffee vary by store, but most of them at least carry Folgers at a great unit price.  I usually buy coffee in bean form and grind it; it seems to taste better imo.

I like the eight o'clock coffee.  It's pretty easy to find and definitely a big notch up from foldgers.  At work we get costco coffee as it's a good deal.  Lately everybody like this Kirkland Guatemalan coffee that is sold in whole bean bags..  it's very good coffee for the price.   There's also Starbucks which is good but it has never really been my thing.  When I'm shopping for coffee I look for the arabica beans as well.

You're missing out if you're drinking folgers. I go to the store and pick out a pound of decently priced whole bean coffee. As of now I'm drinking Joe's Dark from Trader Joes. Grind it up and throw it in the french press to blow folgers out of the water.

Only coffee I have bought were Maxwell House, Folgers, and Chase and Sanborn. I prefer Chase and Sanborn out of the three.

Nice tip, I was wondering how it would have any flavor by the time you got down to the bottom of it.

I just get whatever is cheapest at the super market it is probably never any good compared to good coffee but it is good enough

Starbuck coffee is my best coffee but it not available in the market rightnow!
