Hey I'm just starting this thread to know what Raze The World's community thinks is the fastest and most optimized web browser out there. Since browser gaming has gained popularity it'll be interesting to see which one wins!
Some browsers do specific things better then others, so I dont think there is a best one. I did vote for FireFox, but thats because I use that the most. Only tried Chrome for a little while and I had Internet Explorer for a long time, but I just like FireFox teh most because of its ability to customize alot. Haven't tried other browsers then those three. Every browser has something that makes people want to use them more then other ones.
The FASTEST ones is defineatly Google Chrome or Safari, but they are far from the best ones, with no addons or good features.
Firefox does a perfect job for me.
Also Opera is pretty good
I voted chrome because it is the fastest and thats what im looking for in a browser...SPEED. I used to use firefox and when i did, i did not use any addons so the lack of them does not bother me.
Firefox is my favourite. IE8 isn't too bad, but still doesn't compare to FF.
Firefox, too many useful add-ons, if I close the browser, or if the computer restarts prematurely I get all the sites back. (I never got over that memory feature, like it lots)
Google can kiss my ass with all those chrome pop-up ads they got everywhere. Besides, they look to monopolize everything, pretty soon you'll see a google bank, google religion, & google computer chips that will identify who you are on sight-
Fire fox by far
ie 8 second
chrome 3rd
Netscape Navigator fo-sho
I'm stuck inbetween Firefox and Opera, but right now I'm using Opera.Â
Guess, I'll just go and choose Opera.
I'm currently switching between Safari and Opera, though I'd be using Opera exclusively if RTW worked on it and if it didn't have so many problems with my 32bit OS. Though I am using 10 beta so that may be the source of my problems.I hate that IE 8 installs as an "update" making it a hassle to uninstall, and then Microsoft reminds you that it's an "important" update after you boot up you system. You think Google trying to monopolize? Microsoft's attempt to get you to use its shitty browser deflects all hatred for google lol.As for Firefox, I used it a lot on my previous build but the plug-ins didn't do all that much for me, and plus - Opera has its own add on web site :)
There already is a google religion and bank.
I use chrome. fast, light, pop-out tabs are nice. i like that the URL bar is also the google search bar. I dont like clutter and buttons on my browsers.
Yeah it's very accessible and that's what's so great about it (apart from the speed)
im saying
Chrome - speed and a very clean look, love the tabs drag and drop feature and the making icons out of webpages is nice (although i dont use)
Firefox - Great browser with addons but i dont really like any themes or skins they have and the looks arent updated to often, good to offer it but it feels like a iphone with out future updates...
IE 8 - Pretty dam good honestly IE stepped their game up especially if we go as far back as IEÂ 6 when the browser was just the most unsafe browser to use.. but still to me doesnt compare at all to the others
Chrome - speed and looks
Firefox - Download manager and add-ons
IE - for getting viruses and crashes.
I like chrome because its better for people using multi monitors. I can just drag windows/pages wherever I want ^.^
You can do that with firefox 3.5.
Not like in chrome though. Chrome allows you to move the new window from monitor to monitor, FF3.5 just makes a new window on top of the one thats already open.
anything not made by google.
what's up with all the hatred for google?
