I know almost nothing about CPUs and am wondering WITH PROOF(NO FANBOYS) for which CPU will work best with the gpu without bottlenecking
I personally choose the Phenom 965 BE but someone said it will bottleneck the gpu and others says it wont.
Which FX Series CPU would be the best with it but still being in a smiliar price range?
I guess telling you guys what games I play would help because some games lean towards the CPU/GPU more than the other
CSS
CSGO
Minecraft
League of Legends
Battlefield 3
Call of duty 1, 2, 4

The first two builds are my own
The last one was recommended by another person from the motherboard forum
Go with the one I configured for you
You don't even need a good gpu for what you play (except for BF3) , you could get away with a used 4890 or a 4870x2, over 100 fps on ultra on everything except bf3 at 1600x1200. But newer is better most of the time, plus less consuming.
Ignore crossfire, I don't even like it, it's not fit for your needs/budget anyway. Still I'd get that for history's sake ... nevermind me
I'm currently running a 4100 OC'd to 4.7 Ghz and I've done some research into the 7870 Tahiti - it looks like my CPU won't bottleneck that card. How about saving money on a very OC'able CPU and go for a 990fx mobo. He can then upgrade the CPU with a better mobo in the future and still have the 7870, which should be gould for 2-3 years, perhaps? Just my thoughts, I'm certainly no expert.
