Best 650$ Gaming PC

For gaming :) For all types of games

Don't need OS or peripherials and I do not live near a Microcenter

Here is what I threw together. I assumed potential overclocking

Rosewill REDBONE Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case $44.99

ASRock 970DE3/U3S3 ATX AMD Motherboard $69.99

HIS IceQ Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition $219.99

Rosewill Green Series 630W 80 PLUS Certified $59.99

AMD FX-4300 Vishera 3.8GHz (4.0GHz) $119.99

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1866 $49.99

Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 RPM $79.99

Should come out to around $645

Anyone else?

bump

Really the only thing I might suggest is to bump up your CPU to the FX 6300. Other than that jerm 1027 has a nice little set up going on there.

jerm1027'S is pretty good to be honest, the only changes i would make is drop the ram for some 1600mhz 2x4gb sticks and the hdd 1terrabyte for a 500gb, so you would have the dolla for a amd fx-6300, as then your build would be more balenced

How does a overclocked 8350 do againsts a stock 3470 i5 for gaming ?

it would beat it

read the title of my build

jerm1027 is the way i would build mine. i built my friends computer in that redbone case and the pci slots are very hard to get out. i think i used a tool to pry it lol. i also cut my hand remooving the shield for the dvd burner. so its a rough case but when you are done it looks nice and has decent airflow.

I decided to spring for 1866 since it wasnt that much more and I heard it helps with frame latency on AMD chips, plus it's natively supported by the controller. The FX-6300 was my go to, but it went over-budget since I pushed for a 7870 over a 7850.

I agree, if you can push for the FX 6300, it would be better.
