Best 1080p IPS Gaming Monitors

I play a lot of varying games, but better color is more important than refresh rates for me.
Ghosting is a huge concern for me with IPS, so a monitor with as little ghosting as possible would be ideal.

Dream size is 23" and I have a budget of $200 or less.

Asus V239H-P is what I have. I got no complaints.

No need to spend so much, you can get 1080p IPS for pretty cheap nowadays, also no real reason to go over 21.5" for 1080p

I've the black version, it works well.

Basicly if you want a decent ips monitor, then i would recommend an LG.
Asus also has a few good ones.

Any specific monitors you recommend?

How is the ghosting?

This looks like a nice monitor to me.
The only con might be, only HDMI and D-sub connection.

I already ues a 23 inch 1080p monitor, I don't see anything wrong with it. I asked for 23 inch recommendations, not your opinion on the ideal size for 1080p. Thanks for the input though.

No ghosting.

Was doing some browsing and the 248H-P is the latest version of the one I have. A general purpose monitor. It's got a slightly faster ms time. 260 bucks. The one I have is slightly cheaper with a 5ms response time.

There's no reason to go over 21.5" because it's not really worth the money and it gives you less pixel density.

No ghosting.

If you look under that price you'll see other sellers, one being newegg for $179.

I dunno why newegg lists third parties before themselves sometimes.

I would go with a monitor with an extremely high contrast/ips panel just for beautiful vivid colors with fairly good MS response.

i have an LG 24EC53 -virtually non existent because of its "faulty" bouncy stand -bad for a cruddy desk -unnoticeable with a good desk. IPS-and I don't have any ghosting issues at all.

LG in my opinion is a little pricey, but you get amazing overall picture quality.

Mine "discontinued"- http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-24EC53V-P-led-monitor looks sooo goood compaired to most monitors ive seen.

Some of those 3rd parties' reviews have terrible ratings. People are getting broken or completely different parts than what they ordered for their clients. Of course those ratings are next to the paid "everything is fine" ratings. lol

Well basicly every decent ips monitor has an LG ips panel inside.
The biggest diffrence is mostly in the calibration that is done in the factory from the manufacturer of your particular monitor.

But LG ips monitors are allways decent in my opinnion.

Maybe some of the Korean monitors could be also interessting too look at.
Like the Achieva Shimian, Qnix.
Or X-star PLS panel.

Logan did a couple of reviews about those monitors, i suppose that you can also get them in 23 / 24 inch

I am using 3 asus 23.8' ips, i notice no problems with them, use them for gaming, csgo battlefield, dota. watching movies. I also do not notice a difference in latency vs my old 2ms tn.

LG makes some nice IPS panels. I've been using 3 of the older generation of the 22" version of these (22MP55HQ) for the last few months. The new models don't seem to be in the US at the moment, and the older models are disappearing, but I picked mine up for $119 each. 5 ms response time, 1080p, lightweight, vesa mounting, relatively slim bezel(even slimmer on the new model), and IPS panels. Only drawback is the HDMI/VGA inputs, but that's not a big deal for most people. I've experienced no ghosting with mine, and the color representation is fantastic. If you can wait, I'd pick up one of them when they show up in the US. If not, most companies use LG panels in their monitors anyways.
