Best $1000 productively desktop 2015 could be a bit over

So it can go a little over budget like $250 over but looking for a micro itx or mini itx build with a nice you and if possible ddr4 memory. But that's with the Broadwell cpus if it's an option.
So yeah let me know what's the best option thank you

More info please.

  • gpu make preference
  • storage requirements
  • need an OS
  • high end gaming?
  • need perfs - monitor, kb etc if so preferences?

    matx build:

  • http://pcpartpicker.com/p/YCCT99 - 1150 xeon + r9 290
  • http://pcpartpicker.com/p/JbVVTW - X99 + gtx960
  • Did some edits to the 1150 build.

Newer Xeon E3-1231 V3. 100mhz faster, and a little bit cheaper. I've used this chip - it's just like the Xeon E3-1230 V3.
    Matched RAM.

X99 looks nice. Unfortunately I'm not sure what type of productivity that @Nick_Basyuk is doing so can't really choose between them at the moment.

Okay torally forgot about amd :)

Gpu : any manufacturer as long as it's the hest for the application
    Cpu : intel

Storage: could be hybrid where most current work will be done on like a ssd then stored mechanical in terms of size it would be nice to have 1tb in storage at least

OS: I got one already to go not counted as part of the price of build

No not really high end gaming hust mainy a workhorse and productively desktop

Monitor: if it fits within budget then it would be great but if not then I can pick up a low end one then get a better one later :)

Keyboard: doesn't have to be special at all...

But thanks for the amazingly fast reply :)))!

You'll need a xeon or something that will have low risk of data corruption due to hardware failure from overclocking. This is more of a "business and productivity build."

It turns out that mITX X99 build with your budget is possible. With a quality case/PSU and a 500 GB Intel SSD. Amazing. But no graphical performance for you.

I hope it's compatible, I just threw it together.

If the system is mainaly a work Horse, and you can afford a 5820k, then i would recommend that.
It will be allot better if you do allot of rendering stuff.

The Xeon E3 is not a bad option either, but then you have 2 cores less.
So it depends allot on the typ of productivity you do basicly.

    • If you do allot of rendering and stuff then the 5820k.
    • If its just an office pc, with various all day use office applications, then the Xeon E3 is more then enough.
