The other day, Besiege was updated and the devs announced that a multiplayer would be coming to the game. You can read more about it here.
In the FAQs about whether or not it would be laggy, they said the better the host processor is, the more blocks the server could handle. But they didn't say anything about threads or clock speeds. Now what I'm wondering is would it be better to run on my desktop with an 8370 at 4.8 GHz, or a server that has 2 Xeon e5620s (16 threads total) at 2.40 GHz. The IPC of the Xeons are lower, but it has twice as many threads. Does anyone know which would be better suited for handling the physics as the host?
