Twin Fists - Hades Wiki

• Early game:
  • Athena (I usually equip her item to ensure I get divine dash):
    • Divine Dash: Your Dash deals damage and can Deflect.
    • Divine Strike: Your Attack is stronger, and can Deflect.
  • Dionysus (I try to get his early):
    • Strong Drink: Using a Fountain restores all Health and gives you bonus damage (way more effective than death defiance).
• mid-late game: these will help make a run faster by dealing more damage
  • Artemis
    • Support Fire: After you Cast, or hit with an Attack or
  • Ares:
    • Curse of Pain: Your Special inflicts Doom.
      Special, fire a seeking arrow.
  • Chaos
    • Strike: Your Attack deals +X% damage (x changes with rarity).

Athena’s call helps for damage mitigation, but better healing with either strong drink (Dionysus) or nourished soul (Demeter) really helps as the difficulty scales. I use Athena’s call more to bail myself out of bad positions rather than dealing more damage while invulnerable.

In my recent runs, I find myself leaning more towards Dionysus and Artemis as my attack and special boons. The duo boon Splitting headache is a must have to do enough dps to Hades. In most of my recenr runs, I need at least two death defiances.

Athena as support for the dash and call does a lot to help ease runs by reducing random chip damage across the run. If I get a early health boosting boon, I can delay Athena’s dash. The deflect is far more useful reflecting poison darts in the labyrinth.

Before using Dionysus as my attack boon, I was using Demeter’s attack boon. The freeze effect was helpful in the medium difficulty.

I put this off for a long time. Primeagen’s plan of noting issues and spending a couple days each year to rice/fix his linux setup makes sense, but I think it works better once you have a setup that you can work with.
