So the specs for battlefield 4 have been released. Just wanted to see what everyone's opinion is on it. Personally i find it interesting that the recommended specs says we need 3 gigs of vram and either a quad core or six core cpu.
BF3 already stresses ALL 8 cores in my 8350 during online multiplayer. With the console transition to 8 core processors, why would they make the game run on less cores?
Its one of the first games to use DX11.1 (thats why its recommending windows 8) maybe thats why thay recommend 3gbs of vram but i still dont see you useing more than 1.5gbs @ 1080p
that's good to see, forcing GPU and CPU manufacturers to step up their game. Good job DICE, push gaming! I hope they optimize dual gpu, got two 6950's running like 6970's. i'll upgrade next gen gpu but so far i haven't found a game i couldn't max out, even skyrim with crazy 2k res texture mods and shit. Battlefield 3 has pretty good performance with dual gpu.
im eager to see what Star Wars Battlefront looks like, since DICE is doing it. the pretty "real world" look is nice, but i bet the pretty Star Wars universe look will be much more sweet to my eyes.
on a side note, i don't even meet the minimum, so there ya go XD
