The one thing I find with prebuilt computers is there has to be ways for them to save money and the most common way is with the power supply. The power supply is one of the most important components in a system. It provides the power to everything else in your computer. What I would do is take the components that you see as a package and go to other retailers such as Newegg and price everything separate. This way you can read reviews from others who have purchased the components and their personal experience with said components. The other thing they save on is with the case. Often they provide poor air flow which shortens the life span of the entire system. This is just my personal experience with computers and if you take some time and effort I know you can build a far superior for around the same price range. Minimum quality of your PSU is bronze certified. Look for a case that has lots of air flow and has the ability to add more fans later when the cash flow allows for it. You might have to wait and save a little more money for what you want but without a doubt it will be far superior to prebuilt units. As a mechanic I would always purchase quality tools because it made a real difference in my work day. Do the same with your computer build. As always, this is just my opinion and I hope you have fun looking up and reading all about the various computer products available within your price range. All the best.
