Banned for being Good

---This post isn't me bragging---

So my first multiplayer fps was black ops 1, I started playing it on the wii on a 1 bar off my neighbors internet in Tennessee so I would say the connection was about a inconsistent 2kb - 10kb up and down but I played the shit out of it. The moved to ps3 on a better neighbors internet , now I'm on pc and still playing black ops 1 since it's my all time favorite fps since it's just one I have played the most.

An especially in original maps I can pub stomp pretty easily (as I said this is not me bragging) , so when I first started playing on pc I was playing on some servers with amazing ping (30ms or lower) and It was awesome not jitter bs. But at that time for some reason there were no Treyarch (bo1 devs) servers only self owned servers some dedicated some ran on nodes. So as I keep playing I keep getting kicked and banned from a lot of servers for doing well, some of my favorite reasons : camping faggot, douche, or one I got today admin_abuse. Great! so the kids that one these servers don't like getting beat down I can deal with that.

But now I'm pretty much banished to around 100+ ping foreign servers. Were since it's over a bunch of server hops it's pretty jittery and everything else fun about 100+ ping.

I know everyone has "their game" that they destroy at I'm wondering if this is just a cod thing or not?

EDIT: LOL Thread lock for non-sensical reason, welcome to the forums

I play BO2... With The Screen Name "The Fat Hacker"... and i am not the best at it... but i have my moments... and when i do... EVERY calls HAX's and does there best to butt fuck me... even teammates...

Its not limited to CoD but thats where it happens mostly. I get it on BF3 a few times but CoD is that relaxed, rarely exhilarating, multiplayer. So thats where all the 8 year olds go.

That is pretty much my experience with CoD community. I played CoD4 a little bit but wasn't anything amazing but when I had my moments people started bitching and I've been kicked from server a few times.

Also played MW2 when the matchmaking was hacked and there were dedicated servers and server browsers and even extra maps taken from the story mode. Played that a bit more and I was better at it and got kicked from server as well.

I got banned from a server in Bf3 for going 60-5 and the admins reson was "none can play that good you must be cheating" i tried to explain that the recent humble bundle sales have brought in alot of noobs and that it has made the game too easy and unplayable at times when you hyave a team full of lvl 1's. He didn't agree. So yes this happens often, i would think more so on COD becouse the player base is much younger. I've stopped playing bf3 now becouse the game has been ruined becouse of these sales. Imma stick to cs go for a while.

spoiler alert : CS:GO is going free to play

I've been banned from a couple of bf3 servers on ps3 and pc. Mainly because going over 100+ kills in a max ticket game is hacking according to them. Most hosts now are just power hungry little kids or butthurt admins because they cannot play that well so they will ban anything that will have a chance of beating them.

Yes but most people give up playing when they relise the dicsiplin it takes to become reasonably good at cs go. So it keeps skill level higher and keeps the community more mature.

this is why I really hate self owned servers, I get that it's a nice feature that people can rent servers , but it's bad since they are usually teenagers thinking they will get a lot of money out of it via donations and what not, and they are usually hosted on nodes of dedicated servers which makes the connection and performance inconsistent, also they get a power trip over finally having control over something and being able to say how something is or isn't going to go. Hey if the admins going 4 -  20 someones getting kicked and the guy at the top of the leaderboard is a good target, since the admin will usually be playing with his "bros" one will call hacks then they will get the instant support from their "bros"

Seriously thought gimmie back my 30 ping servers pls QQ

Any source on that ?

Last news I read was that CS:GO got crates and key system like in TF2 to rise more money for tournaments. But no F2P for the near future, but it's a possibility further down the line.

You are just playing on bad servers. I've played on a lot of different servers in lots of different games and there are every kind of servers. Those like you described and meny meny different kinds.

There is nothing wrong with self owning a server no matter if it's rented or hosted in some guys bedroom. It builds communities around games. And if you get kicked from every server that is around you then maybe it's a bad playerbase.

Altough if you find yourself saying that everyone else is an idiot then maybe it's not they who are the idiot.

On the rare occasion that I find a good server (for any game), I usually favourite the server, or remember the name. It's nice to become familiar with admins or clans that frequent servers. They are the easiest of opponents when you learn their tactics, but it is a nice, friendly competition.

Welcome to the wonderful world of casual modern miliatry shooter communities. Being good at the game / playing the objective = "Fagg0t hacker spawncamp no0b"

I'm sorry, but what the hell were you thinking logging into servers with players under your skill level....? I don't mean any disrespect, but I don't understand your point-of-view at all. The basic principle of privately owned servers is to provide a gameplay arena for players that have fun playing together, because the commercial servers often have a higher skill level that is not suitable to occasional gamers. That fun ends when a player with a much higher skill level comes in and starts disrupting gameplay. For a player with a higher skill level, I don't see what's so funny about mass-pwnings on a server frequented by occasional players.

When one sets up a server, it's often to serve a particular group of friends, and when the server is made public, that is as a voluntary service to the community. When an fpfps addict, someone that games all day long and automatically knows the maps better, would come on my server, and would start disrupting the normal gameplay balance between the regular players or the group the server was originally intended for, I would originally also ask them to leave with the message to go find a server with players of their skill level, because you can't allow one person to ruin the fun of twenty, that is part of normal server management. Usually this kind of friendly and justified request, would be answered with the ever so boring pseudo-1337 and back alley slang-spiced tirade, which is a violation of terms, which demands permaban, which is really sad to have to do that. That's why I keep my servers closed now, and don't permit players that I don't know.

Most people quit cs:go because old fags that have been playing since cs 1.6 pub stomp them constantly

In black ops 1 there are only around 4 servers with people actually on them, most either full or close to it so you don't really get to pick

I have been kicked on BF3 for completely stomping everyone with my freinds but never banned.  I have a server I always play on and the admins are really good and not stupid so that helps

I play a fair amount of BF3 and have never been kicked/banned... Although I'm pretty shitty, I do have my moments!

You're always shitty

;D

oh look at me im so good at a video game i get banned and kicked from servers. pffftt!! get a life guys.
