VPN use and Netflix isn't new news though I'm not sure if these particular comments have been addressed.
Basically News Corp having a hissy fit as they lose control as Australians do their best to try and have nice things.
For those who don't know, Australian doesn't get Netflix due to a lack of licencing agreement. People have been using VPNs to get around this and now are being branded as "pirates"
I think it's bullshit. First off, it's the internet, you can't geo-restrict the internet as the vary nature of the internet is GLOBAL communication. Secondly, you're paying for the service - background agreements be damned, you are entitled to a service you paid for. Lastly, you haven't broken any laws (copyright infringement or otherwise) in your country. This is basically some US media company being greedy, and they are the real pirates. I really wish media companies, ISP's, etc. would all get their heads out of their asses before they break the internet trying to steal money (harsh, but they certainly didn't earn it) they don't need.
Except VPN and corporate butthurt as described in above article. Also, except me only getting YouTube Canada with Japanese ads from an IP address in Dallas, TX.
