Has anyone tried out the new Azure Local with the mini pcs like the beelink ones? Hows the UX ?

We discussed that in another thread shortly. Don’t think any of us has tried it yet, but we all agreed that it looks interesting. If it continues to stay interesting however remains to be seen and will depend on what they will charge for the connection to the cloud. Like if you can use the on-prem part free of charge, it will be very interesting, however if they will charge $$$ after it becomes stable because they wanted to market as a for profit product too, then my interest will drop significantly. I won’t use and will not recommend anyone in my professional career to run on-prem servers that require a significant fee even though we already paid for the servers.
Bad news, it’s $10 per core/month on your own hardware.

After finding out about that I immediately lost interest.

Then again, I think I still have around 90e left in Azure credit to use within the year…
Since I am a student I get that for free
