Avast settlement actually occurred (Thanks FTC)

I just got a email from PayPal relating a deposit from the FTC-Avast settlement. Surprised it was more than a few dollars and that only about 100,000 people signed up. I would have thought more people would have used Avast during that time period.

Curious if any other Level1Tech folk received settlements for their usage of Avast anti-virus?

Thanks! I got my payout as well. Iā€™m shocked that not many people filed claims since Avast was so popular back then.

It was $148 plus change. This was due to only 101 thousand out of 3.7 million users applying for the settlement.
