I've recently started liking Avantasia - more the Scarecrow than Metal Opera though. The music's similar to Masterplan, Edguy etc. Anyone else like them at all? Or know of any other similar bands? Stratovarious, Thunderstone etc come to mind....but any others? :D
Sonata Arctica , Hammerfall , Rhapsody , Dark Moor , Gamma Ray , Angra and Kamelot those are the ones i can call right now lol.
Hmmm, i like power metal, but power metal with more balls, like Helloween(of course not the bad pop albums: Rabbit Don't Come Easy, Keepers The Legacy, and Chameleon) Blind Guardian and Gamma Ray.Â
I feel that the produciton destroys new power metal with too much keyboards and too soft guitar sound.
I've heard of all of those before, only liking Kamelot and a bit of Angra. The rest of the bands either have an unlistenable to vocalist, or the production value of the album makes it sound like a bootleg..:(
