Haven't been on the ol' forums in a while actually but I came today and saw that necroing seems to be a probelm/ annoyance..
Is there any way to auto lock threads that are older than 2-3 months old or something? but also having the ability to get permition from a mod to leave the post infinitely open for thread like the lounge and the bug reporting and music threads?
Just a we thought, I have no if it's rediculously hard to code into the site or not haha
i think its next to impossible. all we can do really is is just hope Wendell gets at changing out the forum "Posted Times/Dates". it's very confusing. what says May '13 which means May 2013, will probably say May 13th to some people.
well there is basicly a build in future, that gives users a warning wenn they want to reply to a topic that is inactive for 45 days.
But due some kind of a bug in discourse, this feuture doesnt work yet.
.. I was looking at the commits of some other forums as well as meta.. Seems to be a feature that got broke by something else that was added.. Still looking into it now.. Also do you know our git hub source for discourse.. It would be nice to know the build or version.. Whether or not we are running the stable or unstable here on teksyndicate
