So I was scrolling through my news feed on Facebook as I do every morning. And I see this.
I may not live in the country any more but this still effects ALL OF US.
When you lose your freedom of speech for the fact that you are a Public Servant. That is breaching human rights. Come on. First the Abbott Government breaches Human Rights by not allowing for people to seek refugee status, Turning their boats around at sea and even shooting in their direction. Leading to death but now Australian Residence are losing their right to speak against a dictatorship hidden in democracy. America, You had George W Bush, The man who waged war against the Middle East, Tony Abbott is Australia's George W Bush. Ready to wage war on Asia.
But now even Public Servants, Thats anyone who has been contracted or worked under the government so janitors, lawyers, Social workers and even News Reporters are at risk of losing their JOB for saying anything against the Abbott Government. That is pure dictatorship and restriction of the freedom of speech. And the reason why it is bad for all of us is because politics is full of the domino effect. When one country passes a controversial ruling, Other countries now feel safe they can do so too. And as such Freedom of speech is slowly wiped out among people and Dictatorship rules the country.

The news article showed in the government/Murdoch owned newspaper. The link shows a more indepth look at it but still grazes over the subject. Abbott isnt that bad, Hes worse. There was a saying when daylight savings ended the other week, Turn back your clocks 1 hour and 300 years.
I'll probably listen to him speak about something on YouTube. I will get the measure of him as a person that way. Don't want to take articles on faith, especially with bias media.
I know that I am not likely to agree with him, after following some of the details of his election win and hyperbolic claims about Australia's debt.
I'm really confused why abbot is being compared to bush when they have done separate crimes against their countrymen? It's fair to call Putin the 21st century Stalin. At least you don't go to prison in Australia for speaking out. Either way it's sad to hear your government is really shitty if they are really considering this thought.
But this already goes on in the private sector, everywhere I have worked has a social media policy that is similar in a contextual way, pretty much all employers forbid you to talk about work or colleagues on social media. I think this really is similar.
except this isnt private sector. This is the public sector. Beyond national secrets that could be dangerous if available for terrorists, Everything should be transparent. Making it so no one in a country except those who work in government can see what laws are being made and and enforced. What happens if the government no matter how unlikely you think it is makes it illegal to be your nationality in a country without a special permit and suddenly everyone of your nationality is ether deported or sent to camps. You cant say that wont happen because it is exactly what happened in Nazi Germany.

Hehe Thanks. Just my ramblings. But go ahead and share. More people need to be informed of the breaches in human rights and more. I might turn this into a common thing posting blogs.
yeaaaa about that. You know those men and woman who set fire to themselves in 3rd world countries to protest the government? Well people do that in America and even Australia and well. Their passed off as crazed maniacs risking the lives of people around them. Remember in Queensland, They passed laws to make it illegal to have groups of people in a "Club" or similar group? They only enforce it with Bikies.... for now.
He refuses to listen to people who studies and teaches subjects. Abolished the climate commission, The country no longer has a science minister as it is not in the "Countries" interest. He has decimated the internet in Australia and lets his religious beliefs dictate his decisions to better himself and just does not listen to the people. There has even been talks to remove the ability for New Zealanders to live in the country without a Visa. Make it so only Australians can buy property because all the "Chinese" and "New Zealanders" are buying up Australian land. he is provoking a war with Indonesia where now people are under threat of being arrested in Indonesia for displaying an Australian Flag (And New Zealand Flag as its so similar provoking the NZ government to fast track a change to the New Zealand Flag)
People have died from having their boats refused entry into Australian waters because Australians dont want "Boat People" as they buy up land and make the roads congested. The country was built by Criminals and Boat people. There are Chinese in Australia who have had their families in the country since the gold rush days, When Australia was put on the map so to speak. And yet they are under threat of being deported for being of Chinese decent. these people's families have lived in Australia longer than most Australians's families and yet their having their rights to purchase land revoked and more and more rights are taken from them. But The Abbott government has passed laws so they do not have to tell the people about what is going on and so they can pass law after law after law and no one will notice because no one outside of Public Servants know about it and they are having their rights to speak of such changes with new laws being passed.
Honestly this is the early days of Germany all over again. This is very similar of how Hitler took over Germany.
The censorship and the removal of freedom of speech is how you take control of a country.
