I really like the australian band called Be'lakor (which comes from Be'lakor the Dark Master from the game Warhammer) truly a great death metal band. Check out their song Fraught on their newest album which is also really good.
Portal is a really good death metal band if you have no problem listening to the rather dense sound they produce.

They aren't really Metal (more Hard Rock) but Airbourne are awesome!
Dyscord have broken up now, but their album 'Tirades' was pretty sweet - I saw them play with Killswitch Engage a few years ago.
