Audio/Video editing rig

I am planing to build a Audio/video editing rig for a budget of £800 max

Will need

CPU, CPU cooler/Motherboard, memory, SSD hard drive, Graphics card, case, Power supply, Keyboard & mouse.

Suggestions please, going by my last gaming build it was ideal

With that small of a budget I think your limited to an AMD 8-core

Yep.  This build looks pretty good.  Just make sure to use the back audio port when doing audio stuff.

Only need 1 hard drive as I have a 2TB already. Might as remove the keyboard and mouse as I can get that separate from the cost. So that is like £100 that can be used elsewhere

So you said you did not need Keyboard and mouse right now, You also never stated you wanted to overclock.

With this build, there is no overclocking with means there is no real need for an aftermarket CPU cooler.

Well I am building this for a friend for his studio, so he never mentioned about overclocking.

Also what would be more suitable AMD or Intel? The clear difference is the price/speed

Both should perform just fine for audio.  The Xeon should be really good for video rendering, but the FX-8350 is also a beast.  It's more of brand preference.

Yea and Intel uses a lot less power than AMD does
