Hello everyone. I would like to have a simple and affordable home recording setup for under $400 as the title says. This includes a microphone, a mixer and a sound card/DAC or whatever I need. I have no clue what I'm doing in this field so I need to help with recommendations. I'll be recording voice and some instruments (saxophone and guitar) so a multi-function mic will probably required, and one with low noise input as well. Thanks in advance!
Well I'm using a Steinberg Cl1 Pre amp and the Shure SM58 Microphone and that should cost you about $300.
And for the DAC, you wont need one, the Pre amp is a sound card.
