Ok so I am trying out two different televisions to see which one I wan't to play games on and my home theater system only has the white/red rca audio out. One tv has the white/red rca audio out but the other one only has digital optical out. Is there an adapter out there that will let me run the white/red rca audio out to the optical out on the tv?
Yeah, there are converters for that. What's your locale? (country) I'll post a link that's viable in your area.
I'm in the US

That will fit what you need do you pretty well.
Running an output to an output will do nothing for you. You must connect from an output to an input.
Also note that converting from analogue to digital will give you a very small amount of latency.
What i think he is trying to achieve is this.
Console ---> RCA Cables ---> Converter ---> Optical Cable ---> TV
Wait a sec. @ZombieKahhi, Dont you have a reciever for your home theater system? The back of the reciever has an optical in for a fiber optic cable that runs from your console to the reciever.
My receiver does not have optical out or in. I am trying to have my rca audio cables go from my receiver to the optical out on the tv so everything has audio. Similar to my current setup which has my rca audio cables coming from my receiver going into the rca audio out on my tv.
So is this all I need?
