Audio Problem - Ubuntu 13.04

Well, I just installed Ubuntu 13.04 to test it, but I noticed I had no headphones audio.

I have spent the last hour or so looking through the internet is search for a fix for this problem, but failed. And thus, I have seeked for knowledge in the Tek Syndicate community.

If anyone could help me solve this problem, I would very much appreciate it.

Thank you for your time.

find and download alsa mixer (don't expect me to remember terminal commands), and unmute whatever got muted, this is a fairly common problem in ubuntu, i don't know how to fix it permanantly, just have to do this every time you unplug/plug in your headphones

also make sure you only have the correct speakers unmuted, or you'll have multiple audio devices playing (assuming you have other speakers)

I have tried this several times to make sure, and the result is always the same. Still no sound.
