Hello Everyone,
I am still new to the forums (Though I've watched many of Tek's videos) and the community here seems great. I need some help from anyone who might know how to resolve this ongoing problem I've been having.
My Problem:
When i watch videos, listen to music, or almost just about anything that involves sound i hear noticeable but VERY annoying and constant popping and crackling (almost like a stutter but not quite). this problem gets worse and worse as more applications run (for example, running chrome with a video in the background while playing a game). Certain applications such as Chrome Browser have bigger impact on this vs firefox but either way it's still there.
Odd Things about this problem:
If im lucky on a restart and decide to use very light applications (Firefox, instead of chrome, do things "Single Task") it will happen less frequently and or not at all.
The specs of my computer are not lacking in anyway (at least the brands and items seem reliable. Look in the specs section below for my computer Specs)
Solutions I have Tried:
Disable Power save both on windows and BIOS (Basically no CPU Throttling)
Get a USB AMP/DAC (it came with my Audio Technica ADG1 Headphones)
Disable all AMD True Audio stuff from the videos cards
Reinstall Audio Drivers
Google problems regarding Latency
Google Problems regarding my motherboard
Tried Using only a 2.1 System and unplug my 5.2 Surround System
I've tried a couple of other stuff but don't remember at the time. If i do I will add it to the post.
All of the solutions above have failed. Non have improved or fixed anything really. and if they have, not by much (and again it's very random. Basically on every restart the computer decides how crappy the audio will be on that session almost but I have no evidence to back this up)
Computer Specs:
AMD R9 290 2x
AMD FX8350
Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 Mobo
16 GB 1600Mhz Corsair Vengence Blue RAM (Tried with and without XMP)
850W PSU (Bronze+)
128 GB Intel SSD
2x 1TB HDDs (WD Black, Green)
1x 500GB (Seagate 2.5" for junk)
Thank you all for your help in advance. I really appreciate it.
