AUD $800 Australian PC build

Budget is $800 (AUD) for PC and peripherals
Buying in australia
Do not have a preferred retailer but one in sydney would be better
Need a basic 1080p monitor (around 23 or 24 inch) and a mechanical keyboard
Will be used for gaming (CS GO, Fallout 4 mostly) and I want to record CS GO gameplay.
Will not be overclocking or water cooling
Do not need an OS

Thanks

That's a pretty tight budget. You might be able to pick up a second hand monitor to save a few dollars.

Needs an IPS display, and I'm not sure about that motherboard really, only cheap AM3+ board I'd recommend is the Asrock 970M

I'd give up on the mechanical keyboard for now, and maybe also go FM2+ it'll be faster with an overclock than a stock 6300 on a basic motherboard, although the 860K isn't available in Australia so gotta spring for that chip

Well, not a perfect build but it is pretty much what my first build was about a year or so ago which has served faithfully for 1080p haha

Would probably not go for a mech keyboard just yet, save some money and chuck it into something else!

mate if i were you i would just go with a rubber dome keyboard for like 25 bucks mate its not really worth getting a mechanical keyboard if i were you. 800 with monitor is not a lot of money. You will need to spend around 1000 dollars for a new system and thats just the tower alone. You can look on gumtree in your area to see if anyone is selling any 1080p monitors to save a few bucks.

At that price point i would try to find an old i5 2500 or similar work station, then buy a new psu, graphics card and maybe case if it is needed. That would probably give you best bang for buck.

But if you don't want to worry about used parts this is the best i could come up with https://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=wish_lists&wlcId=528521&action=wish_lists

often have demo/bankruptcy/end of lease/closing down/failed test computer/monitor stuff on here that are a steal and well worth it
